Masked Beauty Project - part 1

Today I started a new project, which was really fun. She wanted a big tattoo on her arm, with flowers, and maybe something cool, like a skull. When I was preparing for my sketch, I came up with the idea to switch the skull with something more rare and special, like a beautiful masked womans face. So I came up with this sketch:

She loved it at first sight, so I was very happy :)

As soon as she got the stencil on, she was exstatic,  I have never seen a girl so happy before, It really made my day :)

She was a great customer as well, no complaints, no sudden movements and over all very calm.

So now we are finished with the linings. Next session is in the middle of april, we'll see how much we can get done that session. Exciting!!!

See you next time.

Portraits & Roses

I made this one yesterday, took about 6 hours, the mandoline and the camera was the most tricky parts. But so much fun! Hope you like it! :)

Here's what I made today, took about 6 hours, on a quite large arm I must say :)

Twin Peaks Leg

This is something I have been looking forward to do for a long time. I am a big fan of Twin Peaks myself, and this tattoo brought back lots of memories.

In this perticular process I made a photoshop idea, to sea how the portraits would fit together. This is it:

For 3 hours I worked on the stencils and placing them, so I made myself comfortable

After 4 1/2 hours of tattooing, I had "finished" (needs white effects) 2 out of 3 portraits and lining the top and bottom film roll effect, the donut and the zig zag floor. This is the result:

I just can't wait until next time! Gonna be awsome!

The Octopus Diary - Part 4 & 5

I totally forgot to write last time I worked on the octopus, so here are some pictures from the last two sessions.

Last time we started colouring the middle of her back, but as you can see it's only basic colour, no details. As I have been working on this piece I have found out that it's best to do every part twice, so I can do the basic colour first, then do another session with details when it's healed.

Here's the result from the last session:

And then, today, we moved over to the Octopus' head and some arms below it, on the thigh. Here's the result from today:

I hope you like reading about this project, I really enjoy this kind of work :)

Lots of love,
Electric Linda

Last update of 2010 (Hummingbird)

Today I started a cool flower/bird project on a woman named Elisabeth :)

I'm gonna try a new effect I have never done before - Focus (like when you take a picture of something in front, the background is blurry). That's gonna be a challenge, but that's just the way I like it :)

Stay tuned for more updates.

And a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you!

See you next year :)

The Octopus Diary - Part 2

As you may know I'm working on a really big octopus, and last session was our first.

For those of you who hasn't read part 1 - click here.

Today we started colouring, and it was so much fun. We have been talking a lot about what colours to use, and we're gonna do the octopus mostly in red-orange-yellow, and with random dots of light green and purple. Later we're gonna add a cool sea blue as a spray-background.

Sometimes though people get a cold or the flu, and that happened to my customer a couple of days ago, though she was much better now. Therefore she did not have the strenght to get tattooed as long as we had hoped, but we managed to colour one of the belly-arms :)

And I finished the 4 hour session with little white details, just to try and see how it turns out :)

Remember to check back soon, cause I'm gonna keep writing about this octopus. Next update will be just before new years eve :)

Here's today's final result:

Studio Gossip by Electric Linda

So, what have we done lately?
Since we started this blog, we had a great deal of viewers, especially on the Octopus Diary, which will be followed up very soon.

We are going to have updates, info and gossip a couple of times every week, so check back every now and then to see what's new around here.

Sketch is doing very well these days, he is a hard worker, and his work is getting better and better. Just take a look at this beautiful ornament he made on a girl on her wrist.

He has been visiting Lucky 7 in Oslo for a week now, and will be back at Attitude tomorrow. We have missed him dearly, I must say.

Blue ornament by Sketch

Robin has gone back to Sweden to visit family and friends for christmas, and will be back in the beginning of january. But just before he left he started on this very cool upper sleeve, which is gonna be awesome when it's done.

Japanese project in progress by Robin

Candy and Liam
We're still waiting for Candy to come back. She is, as you may know, at home with their little darling Liam, and will be back during next spring, which also is the time for us to move the studio. Yes, we have to find something bigger, cause the crew is growing fast these days.

"Frida" by Linn (pencil on A4 paper)
Linn is waiting to start tattooing. And I think - no, I know, that she's gonna be an awesome tattoo artist one day, so therefore it's important that she is patient, and suddenly one day it's her turn to shine.

This is a drawing she did lately, just to show you guys what she's capable of...

She can draw portraits for you, just send her an email with a nice picture to: linn@attitudetattoostudio.com with your name and phonenumber.

If there is anything else on your mind, please don't hesitate to ask us. You can find our individual email addresses on the "Crew" page here on our blog.

Love you guys :)
