Seorang profesor filsafat berjalan untuk memberikan kuliah terakhir. Sambil menempatkan sebuah kursi di mejanya, profesor menginstruksikan kelas, “Dengan menggunakan segala sesuatu yang telah Anda pelajari dalam kuliah ini, buktikan kepada saya bahwa kursi ini TIDAK ADA.”

Jadi, banyak mahasiswa yang memulai cerita panjang yang membuktikan bahwa kursi ini tidak ada, kecuali satu siswa. Dia menghabiskan lima detik menulis jawabannya, menyerahkan lembar jawabannya, lalu keluar ruangan kelas. Teman-temannya keheranan dengan kelakuan mahasiswa itu.

Seiring berjalannya waktu, semua mahasiswa mendapat nilai akhir mereka… 

Dan yang menakjubkan, mahasiswa yang menulis selama lima detik tadi mendapat nilai tertinggi di kelas.

Jawaban yang ditulisnya adalah: “Kursi apa?”

Pengaruh Mental Juara Bisa Terlihat Dalam Sebuah Kompetisi.

Saya seringkali menonton sepak bola dan mengikuti kompetisinya. Yang cukup menarik ialah bagaimana peran mental juara terhadap keberhasilan sebuah tim. Ternyata, memiliki pemain dengan keterampilan yang mumpuni saja tidak cukup.

Seringkali sebuah tim bertabur bintang tidak bisa menjadi juara, bukan karena masalah kemampuan fisik tetapi justru karena hilangnya mental juara.
Pengaruh mental pada pertandingan memang dengan mudah bisa kita lihat. Misalnya dalam pertandingan sepak bola, tuan rumah selalu memiliki peluang menang lebih besar dibandingkan saat bertamu karena mendapatkan dukungan mental dari penonton. Ini menunjukkan bahwa peran mental juara dalam sebuah pertandingan sangat besar.

 
Mental Juara Bukan Untuk Olah Raga Saja

Tentu saja, yang dimaksud mental juara itu bukanlah dalam bidang olah raga saja. Bukan dalam pertandingan saja, tetapi juga untuk berbagai bidang lainnya.

Mental Juara Diperlukan Dalam Karir

Yup, jika Anda ingin memiliki karir yang sukses, langkah pertamanya adalah Anda harus membangun mental juara. Banyak karyawan dengan potensi yang luar biasa, tetapi karena tidak memiliki mental juara, maka semua potensinya terabaiknya. Dia tidak tidak mau memberikan yang terbaik dalam pekerjaannya sehingga tidak menjadi yang terbaik.

Juara Dalam Bisnis = Untung Besar

Jika Anda memiliki produk atau jasa juara, maka produk dan jasa Anda akan lari manis. Jika Anda memasarkan produk dengan cara juara (baca yang terbaik) maka dia pun akan mendapatkan hasil yang terbaik. Siapa pun suka yang terbaik. Juara Sejati Memiliki Sikap Sportif

Tentu saja, yang dimaksud disini bukan cara meraih juara dengan menghalalkan segala cara. Seorang juara sejati akan selalu bertindak sportif. Apa jadinya jika kita juara tetapi didapat dengan cara yang tidak baik? Maka sesungguhnya gelar juara akan terasa semua. Anda tidak benar-benar juara, hanya secara resmi saja.
Berlaku curang, sikut kiri sikat kanan, dan mencuri start bukanlah sikap seorang juara sejati. Juara sejati berusaha untuk menjadi yang terbaik, bukan sekedar mencari gelar juara. Selalu ingin menjadi yang terbaik adalah mental juara yang benar, bukan sekedar mendapatkan gelar, penghargaan, bonus, atau piala.

Mulailah Dengan Percaya Diri

Salah satu mental juara itu adalah percaya diri. Dia yakin bahwa dia mampu menjadi juara. Hanya orang yang percaya dirilah yang berani masuk gelanggang untuk bertanding. Percaya dirilah yang akan menjadi dia bertindak dengan cara yang terbaik.





Juara Itu Bukan Berarti Sombong
Seorang juara sejati akan bertindak, kemudian melakukan apa yang dia lakukan sebaik mungkin. Bukan dengan cara hanya omdo (omong doank) sambil menjatuhkan dan menjelekan lawannya. Sikap seperti ini sama sekali tidak menggambarkan mental juara. Justru, sikap sombong datang karena dia tidak percaya diri menjadi juara. Dia akan berusaha menjatuhkan lawan dengan omongan supaya dia dianggap juara.

 
Juara Sejati Mengakui dan Menerima Kekalahan

Dia tahu, bahwa kekalahan bukanlah kiamat. Mungkin dia tidak menjadi juara pada pertandingan kali ini. Tetapi dia tidak berhenti, dia mengambil hikmah sehingga pada pertandingan berikutnya dia bisa tampil lebih baik lagi. Dia tidak menyesal, tidak terpukul, dan tidak juga menyalahkan lawan. Menyalahkan lawan hanya akan menutup mata kita melihat kekurangan diri untuk diperbaiki.

“Textured, matte hair looks really modern and sexy right now,” says Paulo. “It’s a little more unkempt and rock ’n’ roll, so it has a certain ease.” Bumble and bumble stylist Jordan M., who scrunched models’ hair in his hands under a blow-dryer to give them fuzzy, fluttery flyaways for the Cushnie et Ochs catwalk, loves the casual effect it bestows on even the most prim updo: “You can put hair up into a bun or even set it, but a matte finish will keep it looking young and fresh instead of too ladylike and polished.” It’s something dry-shampoo enthusiasts have known for a while: There’s just something ineffably cool about soft-focus strands.

Bumble and bumble’s newest styling product—Bb. Texture—is designed specifically to create the rough, mussed style in one easy step. “We started seeing that sort of hand-done, second-day-hair look on the streets and on celebrities like Alexa Chung and Mary-Kate Olsen a couple of seasons ago,” says the company’s senior artistic director, Howard McClaren, “but stylists were having to use a combination of products—usually surf spray, hair powder, and styling cream—to reproduce it for shows. So we thought, there’s a real need here for something completely new.” After quizzing stylists and clients about their dream combination of qualities—dry texture with volume and no stickiness, memory and grip but also movability—Bumble’s product development team landed on the idea of a gel-cream hybrid: “It has the moldable hold of a gel, but separates and moisturizes like a cream,” says Jordan M., who recommends running Texture from roots to ends in wet hair before blow-drying it with a diffuser, or cautiously working it into just the roots of hair “to bump up body and give it that just-rolled-out-of-bed look.”

Whether used to make classic styles look edgy, to give a modern twist to wiglike ’60s shapes, or to revamp the season’s big bombshell hair, “matte hair conveys a real nonchalance,” Paulo says. “That’s partly what makes it so versatile.” Indeed, McClaren says, “the whole idea is to look like you couldn’t care less. Even though, of course, you do.”
