Jennifer Aniston must choose between Gerard Butler & Bradley Cooper

Last week the National Enquirer and In Touch Weekly threw a little party over what appeared to them as the rotting corpse of Jennifer Aniston’s love life. After going on one date with Bradley Cooper, Bradley totally pulled a “just friends” in the press, which was viewed by some as a humiliating public denial of a perfectly good made-for-tabloid romance. The Enquirer claimed it was Aniston’s “Love Implosion” and created a story about Jennifer giving Bradley a “relationship timeline” in which he was to provide her babies and marriage within a year. Meanwhile, In Touch had some “insider” quotes about how Jennifer is needy, clingy, and how she scares men away.

So Aniston was due a nicer portrayal of what exactly is happening in her love life. This version comes via Life & Style, and it definitely shows the past two weeks’ events in better light. They’re basically saying that Jennifer has to choose between Bradley Cooper (who, I guess, still wants to date her in this version) and Gerard Butler. Apparently, Aniston and Butler have been flirting up a storm while shooting Bounty Hunter. An insider claims that Aniston says she and Gerard “have a strong physical attraction.” Uh… yeah, he’s Gerard Butler. He could have a strong physical attraction with a mailbox. He’s that sexy.

“Between takes, Jen and Gerard were definitely flirting with each other,” says an eyewitness on the Atlantic City, NJ set of Bounty Hunter. “She was rubbing his face, touching his arm and laughing.”

[During] a late night shoot in the Trump Taj Mahal casino, “Jen was very chatty with Gerard during the breaks,” another onlooker said. “Gerard was getting really close to her on the escalator. You could definitely notice a connection between them.”

Jen’s flirtation with Gerard came less than a week after [she went to dinner with Bradley Cooper]. “They were very flirty and taken with each other,” a witness says.

In other words, Jen appears to have her pick of two of Hollywood’s hottest stars.

“I’m having a great time working with her,” Gerard told Life & Style on June 16 at the beginning of filming. “She’s a lot of fun to be with.”

But nearly four years after her split with Brad Pitt, Jen isn’t in any rush to walk down the aisle. She’s determined not to commit to a serious relationship unless she’s sure it’s worth her time, according to an insider. In the meantime, she’s just having fun.

“She has strong and sincere feelings for Gerard, and she’s very curious about what’s going to happen between them on set,” the insider says. “She says they have a strong physical attraction.”

Confirms an insider close to the Scottish actor, “She’s always liked Gerard, and now he likes her.”

As for Bradley, [Jennifer] is interested in going out with him to see how their relationship develops. But for now, they’re just friends, Bradley insists. And Jen’s not choosing either guy. She’s keeping her options open.

As much as I want to shake Aniston and use any and all negative reinforcement to dissuade her from ever, ever flipping her hair in Gerard’s direction, I have a feeling that it’s on. I think Aniston will get into Gerard’s pants - if she hasn’t already. They will make the sexy time. But I do seriously doubt that Gerard will become some tabloid-friendly romance for her. Gerard doesn’t seem to go in for those clever little “insider” quotes about how he’s just looking for a nice girl (like Aniston!) to settle down with (and get Aniston pregnant!). The last time he was rumored to be romancing some Hollywood lady, it was Cameron Diaz, and Gerard shot that down with this rude/hilarious comment: “So if I take my dog for a walk apparently I’m f—ing my dog? No, it’s not true!” So, will there be another denial?

Lawyers set to square off over Jackson estate

Lawyers for Michael Jackson and his family on Sunday prepared to square off in a courtroom hearing over control of the singer's estate as media reports mounted about powerful drugs that may have contributed to his death.

One legal expert predicted the existence of a 2002 will signed by Jackson means his mother, 79-year-old Katherine Jackson, will likely be forced to give up temporary control she now has over his affairs.

"Given the existence of the will and the expression of Michael's intentions, the only likely outcome is Katherine's powers will be terminated and she will no longer have any power to deal with the estate," Los Angeles-based family law attorney Michael G. Dave said on Sunday.

Lawyers for Katherine Jackson and for two men named co-executors of the will -- attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain -- that surfaced late last week will meet in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.

Katherine Jackson was granted temporary administrator of her son's affairs last week before the will became known.

It puts his estate, which in an attachment is valued at more than $500 million, into a family trust that benefits his three children, his mother, and charities.

Jackson died as much as $500 million in debt according to media reports, but he had assets that have been valued as high as $1 billion and include part ownership in a music catalog of songs from the Beatles and other recording artists.

REPORTS OF DRUG USE MOUNT

A separate hearing over the guardianship of Michael Jackson's children has been postponed until July 13.

Katherine Jackson has been named temporary guardian of Prince Michael Jackson Jr., 12, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11, and Prince Michael Joseph Jackson, II, 7, and the 2002 will also makes her guardian of the children.

Meanwhile, more media reports surfaced over the weekend about possible drug use by the 50-year-old "King of Pop," who died on June 25 when he went into cardiac arrest at his rented mansion in a wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood.

Several media reports have said the powerful anesthetic Diprivan was found in the home, and the Los Angles Times reported that a police probe is focusing on the role doctors may have played in providing Jackson with medication.

"Numerous bottles," of Diprivan without labels were found at the mansion, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Criminal defense attorney and legal expert Steve Cron said police will try to determine if any doctors who prescribed the medication were regularly examining Jackson.

"The step everybody is waiting on, is the autopsy report to show what was in (Jackson's) system," Cron said.

Two autopsies were performed on Jackson after his death but toxicology results are not expected for about a month.

Diprivan, the brand name of propofol, is an anesthetic that "should never be used outside of a controlled and monitored medical setting," the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) said in a statement, noting that its members have not studied the particulars of Jackson's death.

Patients can have extremely variable responses to the drug and some patients can become completely anesthetized, including losing the ability to breathe, the group said.

Elsewhere, officials planning a massive public memorial for the singer on Tuesday in Los Angeles said about 1.6 million people registered to be one of 8,750 people who will get two free tickets to attend the service.

Jessica Simpson had to throw off some golf games

I have absolutely zero patience for golf, so hats off to Tony for being able to concentrate on his game while Jessica's chest essentially blocked out the sun. A lesser man would've tried to stick it in her back nine. Ha! Get it? Golf humor! Trust me, that would've killed if you're over 60. Or a doctor.

Jessica was wearing a black and red striped dress that didn’t flatter her, and looks maybe-pregnant from some angles. She is not a big woman by any means but she often picks out clothing that isn’t suited for her. It’s probably just the dress. She looks gorgeous and this is not a commentary on her weight at all.

Kaiser pointed me to this kind of sweet interview with Tony Romo that was published yesterday in People. Romo was accompanying a 10 year-old boy with leukemia to betting practice at Yankee stadium. He said that things with Jessica were going well and that they have a low-key life together:

“It’s a normal relationship,” Romo, smiling and relaxed, told PEOPLE during batting practice at Yankee Stadium as Starter athletic gear chaperone to Ben Brant, a 10-year-old Albany, N.Y., boy diagnosed with leukemia.

“There’s nothing exotic or crazy about it,” Romo, 29, says of Simpson. “We’re two people who care about each other, and it’s not hard to make it work when both of you want to see the other one. We make each other happy.”

As for how their relationship is faring, “It’s going good,” he says. “We have a fun being around each other. She’s a great girl. We enjoy each other’s company.”

Tony has stuck by Jessica for a while, and he seems like a standup kind of guy who really cares for her. I kind of hope they get engaged and married if that’s what they want. It seems like Jessica would be thrilled with a proposal and I would bet she’s been waiting for one for some time.
